Switzerland start Euro 2024 bid with win over Hungary
Swiss looked dangerous throughout and richly deserved the 3-1 victory
Duah and Aebischer scored in the first half before Embolo sealed the win late on
Switzerland have got their 2024 Euros bid off to a strong start with a 3-1 win against Hungary in Cologne.
Breel Embolo ran arms spread wide in celebration and he was mobbed by his team-mates after smashing home a late third for the Swiss, who had led 2-0 at the break through Kwadwo Duah and Michel Aebischer.
Hungary pulled a goal back early in the second half through Adam Szalai but they never looked like forcing an equaliser as the Swiss continued to look dangerous going forward.
